Houses, sheds and cars destroyed, multiple firefighters require treatment in Millmerran bushfire

Two houses, several sheds and cars have been destroyed by a bushfire on Queensland's Darling Downs.

The blaze at Millmerran, west of Toowoomba, has burned through about 400 hectares of land.

Crews were called to Cabbage Gum Road about 2pm yesterday, but the fire quickly spread.

On Tuesday afternoon the fire was downgraded to Advice alert level.

"Conditions could get worse quickly," Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) said with residents being advised to prepare to leave.
